Hello there, hope your all well :D
So spring break is over and it was just what I needed after
2 very long weeks of exams. The stress and pressure was killing me and to have
one week of nothing was heaven. I had
some school work to finish but nothing major so I decided to leave it for the last
day of the break (since I work better under pressure). This break was very
productive so I thought I’d blog about it :D
1)
I started knitting my
friend’s sweater, but obviously I’m not done with it since this is my second
attempt at knitting a sweater. I’m nearly done with the back side, and then
I’ll start with the front and the two sleeves are left for the end. I’m in love
with the colour, it’s beautiful and the yarn is so soft.
2)
I watched a movie called LIFE
OF PI and let’s talk about my thoughts on this movie. I think the story was
great and I liked it but it was boring for me. I stared at my watch every 10
minutes, so it wasn’t as captivating as I expected. i think i got sea-sick just by watching the movie. I also watched HOTEL TRANSYLVANIA with my
sister and my cousins which was cute and I loved it.
3)
I went out on a family
lunch with my parents and my little sister, we had lunch and did some shopping
here and there. And the restaurant gave us this fancy water bottle and being
the crochet freak that i am, I had this image of covering this bottle with crochet and
using it as a piece of décor somewhere around the house. I started with this
just before the spring break ended so I haven’t finished it yet but I will be
posting a picture of it when I’m done.
4)
This is where my book
addiction comes in; I continued reading ‘A Place Called Here’ By Cecelia Ahern
which I borrowed from my school library during exams as a “short read”. I’m not
that into the book, it’s too slow and nothing much interesting. My friend told
me that the ending wasn’t too great as well so the only reason I’m still
reading this is because I don’t like it when I leave books half read.
I
went into the book store the other day and got myself 2 books ‘The Fault In Our
Stars’ by John Green and ‘Pride And Prejudice’ by Jane Austen. I can’t decided
on which I should read first but I’ve heard good reviews about both of them and
know that they are both from different genre and have different style.
5)
I had a Henna party and got
some Henna done on my hands. Henna party is basically a party the bride’s
family do right before the wedding ceremony, all the ladies are invited and the
bride gets her Henna done for her wedding night and the people clap and dance
and all that. It’s very traditional, people wear traditional Jalabiya or Indian
sari or Punjabi.
You might not think that my spring
break was productive but at least I did something right? Now that I’ve told you
all about my spring break, I’d like to hear about yours. I love it when people
tell me what they did in their breaks or free time, it gives me ideas to plan
what to do in my next break.
See you soon x
